ABOUT THE EDUCATION FOUNDATION

The NCRA Educational Foundation is a non profit 501(c)(3) organization with the mission of "supporting the advancement of the Cancer Registry profession through education and research."

The field of Cancer Registration is the basis for cancer research in the U.S. Cancer Registrars are the allied health professionals who work in this field. They are medical specialists that manage information on every cancer patient in the US for their entire life from the time of cancer diagnosis. The information Cancer Registrars collect becomes the data that local, state and federal agencies and health systems use to understand best practices for patient treatment and care along with best prevention tools. The quality of the data collected by the Cancer Registrar is primary to the accuracy of the outcome information provided by the data.
